Title:
Distal Radius Fractures- Therapeutic Management

Description of the Presentation:
This presentation will address management of one of the most common fractures seen in ER’s, distal radius fractures. Rationale for reduction methods (closed, external fixation, internal fixation) and therapeutic considerations for reduction methods will be addressed.
General treatment guidelines, common protocols and treatment “pearls” will be presented. Factors which influence the rehabilitation process such as psychosocial considerations and general health and well being will be discussed.
