Title:

The Allen Cognitive Network Education Committee: First Project- Examining the Use of the Allen Cognitive Disability Model in Practice

 Description of the Presentation:
This poster presentation will present relevant data on how current professionals are using the Allen Cognitive Disability Model in clinical practice and in current educational practice. It will explain the function of the Allen Cognitive Network education committee and the purpose of the first project of developing and distributing a survey to gather data on the education and use of the Allen Cognitive Disability Model. A description of the process of survey development including the formation of the committee and their role in the project will be described. The development of survey questions including the background significance, rationale and description of the content will be presented. Samples of the survey questions will be available for participants to review.

The results will be presented in both a qualitative and quantitative format. A brief
summary of the data and analysis will be provided as it relates to the role and function of the education committee within the Allen Cognitive Network. Potential implications for future use will be highlighted.
